Prior to each project, it is important to conduct a feasibility study to anticipate the possible impacts of the project on traffic conditions, by studying the most unfavourable configurations such as peak traffic periods.
Our teams study the impacts generated by all types of project:
- Development of new buildings or residential housing estates, and offices: home-work travel at peak times
- Creation or extension of shopping centres: home-leisure travel at peak hours
- Development of Business Parks: home-work travel at peak hours and depending on delivery flows
- Creation or extension of significant private or public facilities including hospital establishments, schools or sports centres: home-work travel, management of visitor flows and drop-off/pick-up zones

Traffic projections
Simulations of changes to traffic highlighting any traffic problems that may occur. These traffic forecasts carried out prior to projects focus on:
- Qualification of the operation of the network around the project site in order to make comparisons between the current situation and the projected situation
- Estimation of the amount of traffic generated by the projects, calculated based on ratios from the DRIEA (Regional and Interdepartmental Planning and Infrastructure Authority) traffic model and INSEE data, such as user modal shares, employment rates, vehicle occupancy rate, the work attendance rate, peak times, the number of jobs, etc.
- Assignment of inflows to the approach perimeter based on user origins and destinations
- Calculation of discrepancies between the current situation and the projected situation
- Estimation of the impact on traffic around the site facilities
- Proposal of any action plans with regard to these impacts
