Our development strategy
Aximum’s development strategy has four main focuses:Industrial activities
Putting our technical and industrial expertise at the service of our customers to build road infrastructures that are safer, more connected, modular and sustainable.
Present wherever you go thanks to our holistic approach, providing solutions in all activities of road equipment and mobility.
Local and global player
Aximum meets the day-to-day needs of our customers through our local presence, and supports them in their most emblematic, high-stakes national projects;
Low-carbon solutions
Developing and proposing precise, quantified analyses of the Life Cycle of our products (LCA), to reduce the carbon impact of our solutions, from manufacture to end of life.
Contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions from infrastructures, with our solutions and products for managing urban traffic and public transport.
Mobility
Integrate and design innovative and responsible solutions for the benefit of our customers and their users. Providing solutions to current needs and expectations for a more sustainable, connected and low-key mobility;
Aximum offers one of the most comprehensive portfolios of solutions for road restraint systems, road markings and their application, signage, urban traffic management, parking, motorway and tunnel management, public transport, charging stations and public lighting.
Our climate strategy
Faced with the challenges of climate change, Aximum and the Colas Group are committed to a strategy of decarbonising their activities and have set themselves an ambitious target, compatible with the Paris Agreement: to reduce its direct greenhouse gas emissions (scopes 1 and 2) by 30% and its upstream indirect emissions (scope 3a) by 30% by 2030, compared with 2019, the reference year. This target is based on estimated CO2 savings resulting from the implementation of a series of actions set out in a roadmap.
Steered by a Low Carbon Strategy Committee and deployed in the operational entities, Colas’ low carbon roadmap includes commitments, monitored by existing indicators or those in the process of being created. The players involved are organised along the following lines:
Climate issues
Integrate climate issues into strategy (new business segments based on renewable energy offerings, employee awareness-raising and training);
Energy efficiency
Improving energy efficiency to reduce greenhouse gas emissions linked to the direct energy consumption of our industries, machinery and vehicles (energy monitoring, renewable energies, low-carbon solutions);
Low-carbon products and solutions
Develop and promote low-carbon products, techniques and solutions (deployment of BIM and LCA, bio-based raw materials, waste recycling, etc.);
Emission reductions
Contribute to carbon neutrality and the reduction of emissions from customers and users (innovative and responsible mobility and flow management services, optimised use of infrastructure).
