Aximum purchases account for over half the organisation’s turnover.
It is crucial that our CSR initiatives to be extended to the outside resources we work with (suppliers, subcontractors, products and services). To this end, Aximum teams up with its suppliers and subcontractors to build a responsible supply chain founded on sustainable performance.
Training and empowering buyers
The goal is to make buyers stakeholders both in the sustainable purchasing process and in specific purchases of sustainable goods and services. With this in mind, Aximum provides its people with awareness-raising and training to purchase goods and services in accordance with CSR principles, starting with duty of vigilance.
Working with business lines to build a socially responsible purchasing action plan
Four key themes have been identified based on their strategic and CSR impact for the Group; they include low carbon purchasing, as well as circular economy, social and solidarity economy, and other social, societal and environmental issues.
The goal is to identify synergies and work with the business lines to put in place action plans to ensure that CSR criteria and requirements are built into specifications, tenders and contractual clauses.
Ensuring that Colas honors its CSR commitments toward its suppliers and subcontractors
Through its CSR commitments on procurement, Aximum and its suppliers and subcontractors enter into reciprocal agreements: to guarantee equal treatment, to honour payment deadlines so as not to weaken suppliers and to ensure there is no economic dependence that could render a supplier vulnerable.
